South Pioneers is proud to present the ideal combination of hot-barreled high-volume Dove shooting and classical Pigeon over decoy hunting.

The hunting is carried out in the provinces of Córdoba and San Luis, into a new agricultural region of Argentina.

Lodging.

Our hunters are lodged in a comfortable country style house, built by railroad engineers in the year 1900 and recently refurbished to comfortable house 12 people in 6 double rooms with private bathroom each. The house also features a large living room, bar, a dinning room and a beautiful veranda with an excellent view of the mountains and of an old grove garden. Only a few meters away from the Lodge one can find the well known golf couse of Yacanto Hotel, where you may also play tennis.

The service is absolutely detail oriented. All of our guests requirements are very important for us and they will be answered with a kind smile.

Hunting.

Farmers here produce cereals with water irrigation equipments, gathering at least twelve harvests during the season–one every 20 days- so we always have a good field for shooting.

San Luis will give you the opportunity to hunt in an unspoiled region as hunting there begun only recently.

You can combine high volumes of both Pigeon and Dove hunting. Neither of them is a complement of the other.

The ideal combination of these two species will allow you a wide variety of shots: short, long, passing, decoying, faster, slower and zigzagging.

Shooting here is absolutely superb!!


Dove Hunting.

During Dove season form january to september you will easily shoot over 1.500 cartridges a day.

We have a special Dove shooting program for january and february over sunflower fields. During those months farmers has to contract workers to shoot doves –up to 30 employees each one- if not they will suffer a large damage in the harvest.


Pigeon over decoys.

Hunting wild Pigeons over decoys is a fantastic experience as this birds decoy equal or better than ducks!

For this hunting, blinds are built and a combination of plastic and mechanical decoys are spread around them.

It is common to shoot arround 600 shots per day!!

This is real high volume Pigeon shooting not easy to find it combined with high volume Dove shooting!!

Pigeons are very smart and hunting them is quite a challenge! Those who have tried it once certanly want to repeat the experience.
